Bel Air Motel

Incredible!!! We were traveling back to Kitchener from Marie Louise Provincial Park outside Thunder Bay and we needed a room for the night to relax, we WERE in White River when I needed to stop, but there were no rooms there, no rooms in Wawa and anywhere in-between. So I called all the way to Sault Ste. Marie and found one at the Bel-Air, in fact it was their last room with double Queens and they held it without deposit for us. It took us a little over 3 hours but they held it until we arrived around 10pm. The gentleman at the desk was super amazing as well, he knew we were on the road and after getting us booked in he took the time to tell us what and where food was available at that time so we wouldn't be searching. Huge KUDOS here. The room was not anything special, BUT it was 2 very comfortable beds to sleep in, and as far as expectations go, it was a MOTEL room, not the 4 seasons. I will absolutely 100% go out of my way to stay here above anywhere else the next time In the Sault. Great service!!!!!

My husband and I were looking for a last minute room. Most places were so expensive and after looking at reviews, we were a bit hesitant but decided to take a chance staying at the Bel-Air Motel. I’m glad we took a chance as we were pleasantly surprised - check in was quick, the front clerk (which I think was the owner) checked in on us via phone to make sure everything was okay within the first 15 minutes. The room is a bit older but was very clean. We felt safe as there is quite the camera system outside and it was very quiet overnight.

I got to the place, checked in and I was greeted by the owner, they are very friendly and welcoming. Got our keys and checked out our room, our room was clean, washroom is also clean which is good! Wifi was fast as my kids are all on their phone as we watch a movie. Slept through and woke up energized and ready for another trip. I would recommend this place if you looking for a place to stay

Me and my family were staying in the soo for about a week, and the experience wasn’t as bad as people said it was. Before you get the room they do ask for personal information such as ID (like most places) and credit card information so for those that don’t feel comfortable about this maybe this place isn’t for you. And for those that are wondering no I have not been charged. At the desk there are little maps of nice places to visit in the soo so if you’re ever wondering where to go maybe take one of those (or just use google maps). Everything said was kind of over exaggerated what do people expect in a $80-$90 motel room. The rooms are cleaned regularly by the cleaning staff who work there (I would know because I stayed here for a week) but since the reviews are like this maybe they’ve missed quite a bit of spots. Some things I noticed was some bugs being inside the room (no signs of bedbugs) and some of the appliances being pretty old. On the bright side though, if you need anything such as changing bedsheets, pillows/pillow cases, or switching out broken appliances they would be happy to do it. But honestly you probably wouldn’t even stay here for too long. Staff and management is extremely friendly as well. Even though this motel wasn’t top notch, This place will be extremely memorable to be because we won’t be coming back to the soo anytime soon, but for one week this felt like my second home.

Had a really good experience. Stayed in this motel for almost 24 hours and rooms are clean, spacious and fully renovated with a fair price. If you visit sault take a look at this motel.

I recently stayed at Bel-Air Motel and had a great experience. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, which set the tone for a great stay. The staff were incredibly accommodating, making sure all my needs were met. What really stood out was their honesty and helpfulness. I forgot my passport and other important documents behind and they shipped them all back to me! There are a few questionable looking people who walk in and out of their rooms, but they don’t bother anybody. If you’re looking for a night or two to stay, I’d say you’re looking in the right place!

Very Friendly and welcoming staff. The room was clean and I have to say the beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water for the shower. The location is only a few minutes drive from town with lots of restaurant options around and quiet! Very good value for the price, and well worth either a one night stop over or a 3 night stay which is what we did. Did love the mini Blockbuster video collection they have, great for a rainy day!

Rooms were so clean and well organised , have fresh linens and are free of dust or clutter. Moreover , they usually have a pleasant smell and all amenities in good condition . The staff was also so polite and helpful . I had a heart warming experience with you guys

It was exactly what I needed, at a great rate. Owner very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and had a good sized fridge and a microwave. No nasty smells as often experienced at some cheaper motels. If you need a place to rest your head while travelling, this is a good choice.
